Spend an afternoon playing with dreams! Explore how dreams connect us to a deep source of wisdom that can both surprise and energize us. Together we will discuss ways of being receptive to dreams and nurturing their presence. We will explore the basics of dream interpretation and discuss ways of bringing the meaning and the energy of dreams into your daily life.

Each person is encouraged to bring or send a dream for group discussion. One dream from the group will be selected and will be explored in depth to experience the aliveness and power of working with the dream images. If time allows, we will work with other dreams from the group. To submit a dream for the seminar, you are invited to email your dream to Dr. Brown

Nita Brown MD is a psychiatrist and Jungian psychotherapist in practice in Little Rock. She has been a student of Jung since 1990 and is in the Jungian analyst training program of the Interregional Society of Jungian Analysts. Nita works intensively with dreams, and believes they offer a connection to one’s deepest meaning and spirituality. She will give an introduction to dream work, followed by working with an actual dream of a seminar participant. A suggested reading list will be provided.

Wisdom Teaching Of Jesus
A workshop by Dr. Lynn Bauman

The weekend of October 2, 3 and 4 Lynn Bauman will be in the Little Rock area for a workshop on the wisdom teaching of Jesus.

Dr. Lynn C. Bauman is a retreat master, teacher, and seminar and conference leader. He is currently Director of the Praxis Retreat and Learning Center, an ecumenical retreat facility which offers opportunities for prayer and study in the rural beauty of Northeast, Texas. Lynn is an author and partner in a publishing house for the creation and production of materials and texts for spiritual formation, spiritual direction and contemplative living.

Dr. Bauman is also a professor of comparative religion, ascetical theology, spirituality and hermeneutics and has taught at many institutions of higher learning across North America. He and his family spent 10 years living in the Middle East where Lynn taught at the University of Tehran, and studied Islamic Philosophy and Sufism in a program of doctoral studies. He also lived in Yemen where he and his wife taught at an International School in the capital city, Sanaa.

Over the last number of years Lynn has worked in close association with Cynthia Bourgeault and others to establish Academies for Contemplative Wisdom (Wisdom Schools) across the nation. In addition he has translated from Coptic a number of the important early texts of Christian wisdom; the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary Magdalene and the Gospel of Philip. These are collected into a volume called The Luminous Gospels with introductions also by Cynthia Bourgeault and Ward Bauman.
